Release 5.1.0

April 30, 2019 By Leslie Leave a Comment

There are some feature changes that require documentation updates that are not yet complete. A notice will be posted to Slack once these are available.

New Feature

  • RF-64 Persona custom properties
This is currently a script-only feature with a UI coming in the next major update.
  • RF-129 Document custom properties
This is currently a script-only feature with a UI coming in the next major update.
  • RF-172 Load feedItem custom entities into RF as custom document properties
RSS allows for nearly arbitrary named entities to be attached to feed items. We now load those values as custom properties on the document in ResultFlow. The first application of this is to support the use of Podcast meta-data in formatting and other scripts.

Improvement

  • RF-77 Update Scribie and TextBroker workflow to preserve source document properties
  • RF-177 Remove Catalyst Venue
Adobe cancelled this product, so we’ve removed it as a selection.
  • RF-178 Facebook setup: Create pixel if missing
New ad accounts do not start with a pixel so if missing during the setup process, we create a new one named the same as the ad account.
  • RF-188 Enhance Kanban UI
There are two small but very useful updates here. First, when editing a column, you can now change the associated folder as well as the name on the column. Second, you can now sort ascending and descending by either document title or document modification date.
  • RF-192 Disable unused/unwanted background services
There were some unused services running background that were impacting performance.
  • RF-195 Echo Facebook error text to user in Credential setup button
The “easy” setup button has been frustratingly less and less easy of late owing to the growing multitude of special cases and error messages coming out of Facebook. In this update, we now extract the reason text out of the Facebook error message and display it in the setup results dialog.

Bug

  • RF-164 Feed item publication date is throwing error
There was a fairly long standing error parsing RSS publication dates that is now fixed. Previously you will see that feed items were dated by when they were loaded into RF, not when the item was published in the feed. Now you will see the actual publication dates as it should be.
  • RF-193 FacebookAds Venue Campaign Selection control fails for large campaign count
The campaign selection control on the Venue was showing only the first 25 campaigns. This is now fixed so that theoretically any number can be displayed.
  • RF-194 Facebook Ads Venue dialog has control sync problems
When editing a Venue, if the previously selected ad account, campaign, or adsets have since become invalid, the dialog was not updating properly. This is now fixed. Plus, only active campaigns are shown since RF can not post to an inactive campaign, it would be misleading to allow one to be selected.
